Shimano SLX DC Casting Reel

$199.99

Reported by
Ben Rehm

Lake Chetek (WI)

Ben Rehm reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Medium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12') technique and Shimano SLX DC Casting Reel on Lake Chetek. Additional comments from this report: "Fishing around bluegill beds. Could see beds clear as day on mega 360, perspective mode live made them visible as well. Throwing cranks over the beds in about 6-10ft when wind was up. If wind died the Ned rig would out perform the crank. The beds would feel like dragging over gravel so if you are not feeling that keep moving around. Also make sure to spot out clusters on pontoon boats as they were often bluegill fisherman and fish in and around them. This pattern had me in first place after day 1 of a college bass tournament."

Reported by

Reported by
Asa Adams

Lake Cumberland (KY)

Asa Adams reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Medium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12') technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Lake Cumberland. Additional comments from this report: "With the water finally getting color and fish settling into winter haunts, do not forget to run a tight wobbling Spro Little John in a craw color over those lay downs. Channel swing banks and even flats by deep water with larger logs on them can hold that kicker size large mouth. You will also run across some big brown ones! The tight wobble of the Little John is a perfect action in colder water. "

Reported by
The Chub King

Lake Moraine (NY)

The Chub King reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Medium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12') technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Lake Moraine. Additional comments from this report: "April 15 Sunny high of 80. I usually do best on this lake in the grass but I couldn’t really find any good grass. I couldn’t really make sense of where along the prespawn the fish were. Cranking wood is the only thing that produced and you had to be bouncing the crank right off of it. Even that only had four fish to show for it. Threw the kitchen sink at them too. A rig jig chatterbait spinnerbait lipless all goose eggs. "
