Trenton Webb

Old Hickory Lake (TN)

Trenton Webb reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Medium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12') technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Old Hickory Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Much to my surprise the deep crank bite is still on! Two of my biggest fish of the week came on both green gizzard shad 5xd and crystal shad. Ledges and points are where this bait shines (of course), but if you can find a deep flat it works there too. Get jacked up on caffeine and let er rip, you will know if they are there quickly. Remember “wind is your friend”. Tight lines, "

Reported by
Johnny K

J Percy Priest Reservoir (TN)

Johnny K reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Medium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12') technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on J Percy Priest Reservoir. Additional comments from this report: "Water temperature wasn't warm enough for me to fish coves and pockets so I decided to fish 7-10 depth off the main lake. The two fish that I did catch were on some rock pile off the main lake by a river channel. Around the area was standing timber and threadfin shad. It was a partly cloudy day with a 5 MPH wind, water clarity was 6 to 12 inches. During the cold winter months, I like to use a moderate action rod with 12 lb co-polymer line. A Shimano Curado DC reel helps me make long cast without worrying about backlashing. "
