Additional comments from this report: "The bass are starting their fall feeding. I was able to find some schools of bass in moderately deep water. You have to let the spoon flutter all the way to the bottom with a semi slack line. once on the bottom, give the line two quick jerks and let it flutter back down."

Crappies were suspended in 30ft of water anywhere from 5-20ft. With the Jigging spoon, rip it hard and let it free fall until it picks up all the slack. Only allow 1-3 seconds for it to sit still, you will get bit either on the fall or the pause. Tightlines! "

Alot of rain fall causing the river to rise. It created great schools to gather around riff raff. With the rain it was easier to cast down stream and across with successful bites and up stream as well but there were more opportunities to gather bites. With actions baits and a steady retrieve. "

White bass season is ramping up with spring around the corner. Baitfish are schooling up around the points and the bass are following. Vertical jigging spoons and slabs was productive. Blade baits or even small sized lipless cranks can be good alternatives
