Shimano Vanford Spinning Reel

$239.99 – 249.99

Reported by
Lucas Bowers

Fishing Creek Reservoir (SC)

Lucas Bowers reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Shimano Vanford Spinning Reel on Fishing Creek Reservoir. Additional comments from this report: "Cast a trick worm(floating worm style with swivel) up on riprap and work slowly. Bites seem to be random yet consistent "

Reported by
Matthew Fong

California Delta (CA)

Matthew Fong reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Shimano Vanford Spinning Reel on California Delta. Additional comments from this report: "Using a neko bait is a great technique I have picked up during the summer. With a 6” Senko I would slight the nail wait through the front of the worm and then wrap a vmc crossover ring after. This had made my Senko last the entire day rather than just one hook set and the worm falls apart. The nrx and vanford make this set up extremely light and powerful to land big fish. "

Reported by
See Yang

Lake Minnetonka (MN)

See Yang reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Shimano Vanford Spinning Reel on Lake Minnetonka. Additional comments from this report: "Find deep weeds on ledges with rocks in about 20ft range. Neko rig was working for me. Dead sticking works the best or Shake occasionally. If you caught a a school of small fish keep moving until you find the right school of fish. "

Daiwa Tatula LT Spinning Reel

$159.99

Reported by
Laramie

Pleasant Creek Lake (IA)

We were fishing Neko Rigs in shallower water, from the bank. To work the Neko Rig, I cast it out, let it sink, give it a couple of hops, let it sink, and repeat.

Reported by
Omnia Fishing

Stockton Lake

Omnia Fishing reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Daiwa Tatula LT Spinning Reel on Stockton Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Deep brush has been producing the bigger bites of late. Small window in the early morning with a topwater. Moving out to the deep brush piles with a Neko Rig works. I've been staying off the top of the piles and casting to them. Being vertical on them has been tougher lately, maybe due to fishing pressure. "

Reported by
Lonnie Bloom

Lake Minnetonka (MN)

Lonnie Bloom reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Daiwa Tatula LT Spinning Reel on Lake Minnetonka. Additional comments from this report: "Ran several different sections of docks during my last derb on Tonka, almost exclusively threw a Neko rig at them. Finding the docks with tips in 10fow or deeper proved the best for size provided there was good milfoil present near the end or underneath the dock. It worked well as a means to cover water quickly, skipping it up under each dock from 3 different angles as we rolled up to, in front of, and past, and then moving onto the next one. Dead paused on semi slack line and then dragging it maybe 3-4" and then pausing it again, hopping did not provide the same number of bites. If it didn't get eaten after that second pause, reel in and do it again. Kick up the trolling motor speed and burn em, doubling back and hitting them from the other direction produced more bite as well. "

Daiwa Fuego LT Spinning Reel

$99.99 – 109.99

Reported by
Ben Nelson

Leech Lake (MN)

Ben Nelson reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Daiwa Fuego LT Spinning Reel on Leech Lake. Additional comments from this report: "The recent cold front that moved through leech lake area produced some tough fishing. While some times of day were better than others, I found good fish playing the high risk high reward game of fishing finesse right near areas of heavy cover. The key was to bring the boat to the fish after hooking it, as otherwise they would take you into the cover where you heavily run the risk of breaking your light tackle. "

Omnia Fishing

Norfork Lake (AR, MO)

Omnia Fishing reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Daiwa Fuego LT Spinning Reel on Norfork Lake. Additional comments from this report: "We had most success side scanning small schools of shad. Almost verticaly dropping a Neko rig on them. Almost never marked the fish we caught. almost always got the bite on the fall. no need to fish the bait on the bottom very long."

Reported by
Clint Boucher

Berry Lake (WI)

Clint Boucher reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Daiwa Fuego LT Spinning Reel on Berry Lake . Additional comments from this report: "There is a weed line along the deep hole on the east side of the lake. Position yourself in the deeper part and target that weed line around the hole, casting into about 11' of water. "
