Additional comments from this report: "Got on the water with Nathan Mountain. Check him out, Nathan Mountain Outdoors, super good dude. Put us on fish when we didn’t see many other folks catching. Found them on rocky points typically around brush. Ott Defoe even ran past us, so you know we were in the right area. Saw some crappie scopin’ but they were very finicky and wouldn’t commit. Fun and beautiful day on the water! "

Reported by
Chris Roerdink

Elkhart Lake (WI)

Chris Roerdink reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Structure Jigs technique and Lew's Speed Spool LFS Casting Reel - EOL on Elkhart Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Morning started off slowly catching a few short bass on finesse baits on weed edges. The bite picked up late morning when some cloud cover worked its way in. Working drop offs in 14-19 feet of water with strike king jigs with rage craw or structure bug trailers worked best. Strike king series 5 crankbait and red eye shad also produced a few fish. Had a large musky grab a nice smallmouth my fishing partner was reeling in until it snapped the line. He also raised a larger musky to the boat side on a football jig, it followed a few figure 8’s before getting spooked. "
