Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel

$269.99

Reported by
Nate Nipper

Lake Le Homme Dieu (MN)

Nate Nipper reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Frogs/Toads technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Lake Le Homme Dieu. Additional comments from this report: "The 2nd stop of the MNBN Team Trail brought us to LHD. The post-spawn period is a fantastic time to lock a frog in your hand and chase some of the bigger fish in the system. I like bluegill colors and am not afraid to throw the thing over some open water. Trolling motor cranked up just pounding shorelines. Docks, pads, matted up weeds. It's all fair game this time of year. The fish aren't really grouped up yet so it's usually a get one and keep going program."

Reported by
Mac

Pool 8 Mississippi River (WI)

Mac reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Frogs/Toads technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Pool 8 Mississippi River. Additional comments from this report: "Typical summer La Crosse pattern, but it's fluctuating every day. You can run to the backwaters and find matted grass. Use a Bluegill colored frog to catch Largemouth bass between 2 and 4 lbs. Another option is to target main lake structure with Perch or Bluegill colored swim jigs."

Reported by
Pierce Knarr

Lake McBride (IA)

Pierce Knarr reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Frogs/Toads technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Lake McBride. Additional comments from this report: "Bass were up in the lily pads feeding on bluegills and baitfish. Throwing a frog was best way for reaction strikes and landed my P.B. 6 pounder"

Daiwa Tatula CT 100 Casting Reel

$149.99

Reported by
Michael Rekas

Lake of the Isles (MN)

Michael Rekas reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Frogs/Toads technique and Daiwa Tatula CT 100 Casting Reel on Lake of the Isles. Additional comments from this report: "Got on a bit of an unexpected frog bite this weekend. The pad fields that were too thick to fish a frog through this summer are now very sparse. These pads were perfect for a popping frog. The fish were concentrated on the pads and if you can find pads with laydowns nearby that was even better. Besides location, fish the frog just like you would during the summer. For more info on how I do that check out my other Lake of the Isles fishing report on summer frogging. Take advantage of this bite while you can it will be gone quick!"

Reported by
Mitch Bradshaw

Big Marine Lake (MN)

Mitch Bradshaw reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Frogs/Toads technique and Daiwa Tatula CT 100 Casting Reel on Big Marine Lake. Additional comments from this report: "The Frog bite is heating up on the post-spawn largies! I recently got out in my kayak which is perfect for frog fishing in the pads as you can get really shallow and spook less fish. There are a lot of small bass in this lake but a few nice ones. I didn't find anything over 2.5# but I can never be too picky when they are eating the Frog."

Reported by
Jfogarty100

Horseshoe Lake (MN)

Jfogarty100 reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Frogs/Toads technique and Daiwa Tatula CT 100 Casting Reel on Horseshoe Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Lake was pretty well choked out with curly leaf pondweed. Walked the pad crashed over some open holes in the weeds to catch some pretty decent bass."
