Travis Oesterle Fishing reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Body Swimbaits technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Braidwood Power Plant Cooling Pond. Additional comments from this report: "Battle the immense amounts of fishing pressure by standing out. Searching out the prime water temps where the large females are still feeding and not ready to commit to their spawning areas can be more than rewarding on the big glides. Many fish can also be caught on jerkbaits in the same areas."

Reported by
Tin Ngou

Lake Norman (NC)

Tin Ngou reported catching Spotted Bass using the Hard Body Swimbaits technique and Shimano SLX 150 A Casting Reel on Lake Norman. Additional comments from this report: "Early morning on a cloudy day on lake Norman could be the best time to catch some fish in the summer on lake Norman. Today I was fishing shallow around boulders with the bullshad. Those spotted bass were destroying it as I reel past boulders. Today I was throwing this medium size swimbait on a medium heavy st croix mojo bass rod with a shimano slx. I had 30lb braid to 20lb leader with a snap to allow bait to swim freely. I was just burning this bait across the top of boulders in shallow water. The water was very clear like usual on lake Norman today. Most fishing in less than 5 ft of water."

TheKurrent

James River (VA)

TheKurrent reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Body Swimbaits technique and Shimano SLX 150 A Casting Reel on James River . Additional comments from this report: "Insane day fishing the Bucca Brand Trick Shad. Didn't catch a ton of fish, but when they did bite, it was a good fish every time. My bag consisted of a 6-12, 4-03, 3-15, 3-07 and 2-08 for 21 all on the Trick Shad—my biggest bag on the James. I wouldn't technically call out a specific pattern: they were caught on laydowns, docks and roaming, not one specifically. "

Daiwa Tatula 200 Casting Reel - EOL

$179.99

Reported by
CJ Xiong

Jetzers Lake (WI)

CJ Xiong reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Body Swimbaits technique and Daiwa Tatula 200 Casting Reel - EOL on Jetzers Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Quick 1 hour outing fishing from the bank and pier. Very warm, but extremely windy. Threw my baits near the dock and reeds. Had many chase my large glide bait with 1 bite. Caught several on a megabass z2 crankbait. Most productive was throwing a smaller profile jig along the reeds. Used 14lb Shimano Mastiff FC. I've had several trips out with this line and I'm beginning to enjoy it. Very manageable and strong. Overall good line, I may make the switch from Sunline to Shimano Mastiff."
