Ledges and points are where this bait shines (of course), but if you can find a deep flat it works there too. Get jacked up on caffeine and let er rip, you will know if they are there quickly. I started fishing bluff walls and this pattern didn’t work so I started working my way into small pockets off the river channel. Eventually got on a red crankbait bite in the 5 ft range. The lure that got it done was a Rapala Rocco and Spro rk crawler. Gear wise, I was using a Duckett rod paired with a Shimano DC reel with 10 lb co-polymer line. "

Was a good morning. Once the sun got up, the bite turned off. I was fishing the main lake, over cast in the AM, and the water temp was 51F."
